Stonehenge wooden spoons

Hi Everyone,

I was just looking at the news online and the BBC site has an article about new information about Stonehenge, the neolithic monument in England and its very interesting to read. An associated article talks about how a group of researchers are going to reconstruct some of the homes that people who lived in the area 4500 years ago lived in. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-19797815.

When ever Im working on something in the shop I often wonder what people thousands of years ago did when they needed something like a spoon or a bowl. Did they find someone to make it for them or did they make it themselves? And how were wooden objects made in that time period? It really boggles the imagination.

If you are a regular reader of my blog and you live in the vicinity of Stonehenge in the UK and can get some photos of the reconstruction and send them to me with a brief explanation of what the photos contain, Ill make you a wooden spoon and send it to you. One good turn deserves another.  So the first person to do this gets a spoon.

Thanks and have a great rest of the weekend,

VW
